In 1975 AT&T became one of the first major American corporation to adopt a policy prohibiting discrimination against employees based on sexual orientation. From 1975 to 2018, they actively and openly supported LGBTQ+ groups. However, since 2019 their opinion has shifted donating over 1.1 million to anti-LGBTQ+ groups and lawmakers.
